1. BHSF students achieved excellence in 2009 Philippines International Mathematic Competition
Between November 27 and December 2, 2009, four BHSF students in Senior Grade 1, Li Yige, Bai Linyu, Wang Bowen and Li Sijin representing Beijing China, attended the 2009 Philippines International Mathematic Competition joined in by 108 delegations from different countries and regions. They won two individual gold medals and two individual silver medals, and in addition, the second place in team competition.
2. BHSF student won silver medal in The 3rd International Olympiad on Astronomy and Astrophysics
BHSF student Li Wenxiong in Senior Grade 2, together with four students from other parts of China as her representatives, won silver medal in the 3rd IOAA held in Tehran, Iran between October 16 and 27, 2009. About 100 college and high school students from 22 countries competed in the three events — theory, data analysis and practical observation.
3. BHSF student won silver medal in the 5th Asian-Pacific Astronomy Olympiad
Between October 7 and 9, 2009, 11 delegations with about a hundred students and advisors from nine countries joined in the 5th Asian-Pacific Astronomy Olympiad held in Korea. As one of the representatives of China and the leader of Chinese delegation, BHSF student Zhang Hanyu attended the competition and won a silver medal and the Best Observation Award.
